Both senior’s refugees and young people receive training in fire protection and extinguishing fires through the teaching on the Safety Week. In the kindergartens, fire protection works systematically one week a year. Here children learn fire protection and they have exercises and bring home tasks about the fire protection.

The prerequisite for success with fire protection for groups at risk is the cooperation with the fire service. Fall prevention

Keywords: safe elderly, home visits, balance training

There are several measures together to form a chain of preventive measures. The measures are adapted to the different groups. Some measures are implemented for a whole group.

The list is not completed.

Annual control in nursing homes is performed for long-term patients once a year, including medication reviews.

Companies register events and evaluate / carry out measures on an ongoing basis. Fall journal in Gerica has been completed.

Fall prevention group: In the autumn of 2014, the rehabilitation department started a strength and balance group as preventative measures. The group training is conducted under the guidance of two physiotherapists. The offer lasts for twelve weeks, with strength and balance training twice a week. During the period, useful information on fall prevention will be provided, and which training / activity offers the participants can use after this offer. To this group, anyone can join. Participants who receive offers complete the same test before and after the end of the training period to evaluate the effect.

Orthopedic school in Ski municipality / Active A: In the autumn of 2014, the first group with osteoarthritis school started for people with osteoarthritis referred by the GP, the physiotherapist or the persons themselves. The school consists of a theoretical part and a training part and extends over a total of 12 weeks. Before start-up and 3 months after the end of the offer, the participants will be surveyed by the physiotherapist to evaluate the effect. In 2017, the concept was changed from Artoseskole to Aktiv A

Primary Preventive Team for the Elderly:

Offers home visits to first-time seekers of a security alarm or walker. They perform several tests and possibly housing assessment and provide information about offers in the municipality.

Fresh Life Central: annually publishes an overview of activities in Ski Municipality under the auspices of the municipality, teams, associations and private actors. Fresh Life Central: also arranges, among other things, Aktiv på dagtid 60 + which is an activity offer for residents 60 years + in Ski.

Effects of the work:

All offers are well used. Ski municipality has a varying number of hip-related fractures over the years. But winter 2018 had very many days of difficult lead with snow and ice.

We believe that those who participate in the activities have a good effect. Exercise for the elderly is fresh and it needs to keep alive.

Collaboration in urban planning

Keyword: Inter-sectorial collaboration, urban planning

There is a broad interdisciplinary collaboration between professionals when planning plans are to be prepared or assessed. Professionals with technical and planning expertise, architects, public health, universal design, the environment and climate and pedagogical competence meet with developers.

Participation by citizens is important. Children's interests should be safeguarded, traffic safety and accessibility for all. Climate and environmental considerations are important.

Pedestrians and cyclists must be given priority in front of motorists, but all trafficking groups must be able to safely travel in traffic. Road safety for the schoolchildren is very important

A system for child droppings is used to know which areas are important for children.

All builders must create an environmental follow-up program.

They must also describe the consequences of the development for the population health.

Effects of the work:

When people with different professional skills cooperate, many problem areas are seen in context and better solutions are presented in the planning. The work is becoming more open and the needs of the citizens are improved in custody before the plans are processed by the politicians.
