Background Education
o Master (2001-2003) and Ph.D.(2004-2008) in Policy Science, School of Policy Science, Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan;
o Graduate course “Injury Prevention/Safety Promotion Research/Evaluation – Introduction”, (Jan. 17– Feb.18, 2005) , School of Social Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.
Safe Community Experiences:
o Have been supporting communities(for ISC) and schools ( for ISS) since 2005 (currenty 14 communities and 2 schools) in Japan;
o Have participated in 6 international SC conferences, 4 Asian Regional SC Conferences, and 2 relevant conferences as a speaker and/or a chair of sessioins;
o Co-hosted the 6th Asian Region Conference on Safe Communities in 2012
WHO CCCSP Training as certifier:
o Completed the training course to become a SC which is organized in collaboration with WHO CCCSP and SC Certifying Center in Korea, March 2008 (1 day course);
o Completed “Injury Prevention/Safety Promotion Research/Evaluation – Introduction” Jan. – Feb. 2005 (5 weeks) at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm;
o Attended to on-site evaluations for capacity building as a certifier(6 Communities) in 2008 under the guidance of the Certifying Center (Korea)
Experience as ISC Certifier:
o Number of designated communities as Certifier/co-certifier: 21 (as of March 31, 2013)
